Hi!! This weeks blog topic is about STN!!!! I'M SO EXCITED OH MY GOD. Hehe, so anyways I'm most excited for competing, universal studios, and the NBA game. But lets be real, I'm excited for it all.
Competing. I have to say i'm equally as scared to compete as I am excited. Haha, just kidding (sorta.) All year we've been getting so excited to compete and we're so close. All the returning students always talk about what it feels like to compete and to sit through the awards and I can't wait to feel that. Also, we've been practicing for ever and I'm pretty excited to actually compete. Win or lose, I know I'll have fun.
Universal studios. Is it just me or does riding around on a bus for three hours going through movie set after movie set sound awesome. Answer: its not just me, it does sound awesome. Imagine, one corner looking like New York City, the next Jaws. THAT SOUNDS LIKE MAGIC. As you can tell I'm very excited.
Basketball? Really? Me, excited for basketball? I know, kinda hard to believe, since I am the single most unatheletic person in the world, but I actually like basketball. I'm not good at it but I like it. I think its pretty fun and more importantly easy to understand. So when I heard we were seeing a Lakers game I was pretty excited, and I can;t wait.
STN is in literally less than one week. Mind. Blown. I'm gonna lose my mind. Pray for me.
Hello!! This weeks blog topic is about STN teams. I think my competition team and crazy 8's team are doing pretty good. Hopefully that continues at the convention.
First of all, crazy 8's. We only had one crazy 8 practice and it was... crazy. But hey, thats where the name comes from. I think our small teams worked well together, but towards the end things were getting g more intense. So when the time came to come together we had some issues. We had some listening problems and some negativity. But afterwards, we talked it out and it is now resolved. I think because we did that we will work good together at STN.
Now, my competition team. I'm in the category convention recap with Aron Taguiam. He is truly amazing. Since our first practice he has helped me learn so much and I'm so grateful to be working with him. I think we are a pretty perfect team, too. We don't have any problems working with each other and we've improved so much since our first practice.
And like I said, we work fantastically together. We both contribute equally, but he usually does a little bit more of the filming while I focus on the editing a little more. He is a very hard working student and has really good ideas. We've become good friends over the past couple months and I enjoy working with him.
I'm very VERY excited for STN and am happy to be working with Aron. I hope we can become even closer at STN, and no matter what happens, I know we will have a great time.
Hi!! I'm very excited for this weeks blog topic because we are soon going to be working with an actual business, Kauai Grown Farms. For this project, we will be running their social media. I think I should be on the snapchat team because I have a snapchat, I have plenty of free time, and snapchat uses a lot of video (and I'm not the best photographer.)
For one, I have experience. I have a snapchat and have had one for awhile. I think I could make their account and stories pretty interesting, too. And since I have experience, if a problem comes up I might be able to fix/help fix it.
I definetley have the extra time. If I'm not doing media work, I'm not doing anything. I don't really do anything too interesting. Mostly just stupid stuff that ends in injuries. So instead, I could use that time to frequently update their snapchat. Its a win win, if you think about it.
Lastly, I'm not too good of a photographer. But snapchat is mainly videos, my strong suit. So not only will I be good at that part, but I can get a little bit of practice with taking pictures.
I'm super excited to be working on this project and can't wait to see what my job is.
