Heyyyyyy again. This week I'm going to talk about my PSA. Since it is due basically right now, my project is done (and you can check it out under my quarter three projects page ;).) Anyways this is my project reflection. And I'm pretty satisfied. I think I did good with deadlines, had a somewhat entertaining video, and had good shots.
I was pretty ahead of the game with deadlines. I posted TIASM's and scripts early and got a good start on filming, but had some problems with the last shot. Because of that my rough but wasn't posted as early as I would've liked but it still got up so we're good. Anyways, it was a pretty smooth process.
As far as how interesting my video was, I think I did pretty decent. I added some fun music and attempted to add humor. But I got some compliments that really boosted my confidence (especially about my moms guest appearance.) I think they key to making a interesting video is to just kinda have fun with it and relax, and hats basically what I did.
I tried my best to use a variety of angles and shots, and I think I did a pretty decent job. I probably could've added some more angles or close ups in the begging shots but I kinda like how it turned out. Also I was very impressed with how I edited them together. I DEFINITELY could have done better, but to my standards it's pretty alright.
My PSA definitely has it's flaws, but I think I could've done worse. I'm excited to see what other people think of it, and Mr. M. Seeye next week!! (and remember to use bug spray)
Hello!! Interesting title, right? Anyways, this weeks blog topic is about Presidents Day (which is next week). Our current President is Donald Trump. He hasn't been in office very long, but so far he's made some... interesting decisions. I think three traits a president should have are honesty, kind-hearted, and just a little bit of humor.
Honesty. Maybe one of the most important traits. Obviously you can't trust someone if they lie to you, so I think a president should be honest. Not only to his/her country, but to other politicians. I don't think they should make things dramatic or nasty, just be honest. It would make most people if not all feel more secure and safe. I think everyone just wants to know they're president isn't lying to them, cause thats not really a good sign.
Being nice. This is also super important. And I get it, with as much responsibility as a president has, sometimes you just have to do it, nice or not. But I think if you try your best to be nice and respect other people, you can't go wrong. Also, people would just like you more, and it would help bring smiles to the country.
And on occasion, some humor. But like I said, ON OCCASION. I don't think any president should joke around too much, since their job is very very serious. But at silly holiday events or charity stuff, a little humor wouldn't hurt. Just to bring out some laughs and give everybody good time.
A president has a very tough job, but what makes a good president (to me) is honesty, kind-heartedness, and a couple jokes now and then. Hopefully our presidents to come have these traits.
1! Get it? Cause of the title. Anyways, hi! I'm glad your back. This weeks blog topic is about morning announcements. We've been doing the morning announcements the "new way" for awhile now. And it is challenging. But thats good. I think this challenge is good for us. As far as our audience, I think if we make interesting scripts, add in some "new stuff", and talk about things students like, our show will be that much better.
Scripts. I think we should make sure our scripts are grammatically correct and stuff, but also interesting for the students. I think if we change up the wording or just kinda relax a little, kids might be a little more interested or excited to watch.
Adding something... "new". Our current announcement set up is awesome, but maybe adding a new opening or new music would catch some eyes. I want to try to work on a new opening, but adding in new features could also "spice up" our show. I think birthdays and quote of the days are pretty popular among students, so maybe we should add in some similar stuff.
And once again, catching the eyes of students. When we make announcements about events, I think we should look for ones that relate to students. Dances, surf competitions, events at the mall, movies, etc. Then, maybe kids would watch more so they don't miss anything, and they would be excited to watch since we are talking about things they like.
I think our morning announcements show is pretty good right now. But maybe changing some things up could enhance the overall appeal.
